The story of CEMESAVI SION does not begin with architectural blueprints, but with an act of obedience to God. In 1998, Pastors Julio Jiménez Frías and Francisca Morales founded the Movimiento Evangélico Jesucristo Lumbrera en el Camino (Jesus Christ Light on the Way Evangelical Movement) in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic.
They understood that they could not preach about God’s love without manifesting it through physical healing. For years, the institution organized temporary medical missions, but there was always a pressing need for a permanent place of refuge and health.
CEMESAVI SION was conceived as a third-level medical center to fill the healthcare gap in Consuelo—a community of over 70,000 people. This is not just a hospital; it is the fulfillment of a biblical promise to care for those in need. Every brick laid in our current construction represents an answered prayer and a commitment to life.
